There have been a lot of smiles down at Alan Edwards Park recently. IEC students have been learning about Australian football and preparing for their first game.
North Lake will play our friends at Cyril Jackson Senior Campus on Wednesday 12 June – Sean, May and the students have been getting plenty of help from John, Michael and Gigi, who have had experience at real footy clubs, and a bit of expert advice from Regan from South Fremantle Football Club.
There will be two games – male and female. The players will be keen to try out the things they’ve learned – kicking, handballing, marking, tackling as well as handling all the strange things that happen in a game of footy. The experienced umpires will explain their decisions as the games go on.
It will be fun.
