North Lake Senior Campus is now an accredited Waste Wise School.
On Monday 20 August our classes IEC1B and 3A took part in a Waste Audit.
First we met Daniel Marano from the WA Waste Authority who was in charge of the waste audit. He explained about different types of waste.
We had to bring rubbish bins from the school and we emptied the rubbish onto a big tarpaulin on the floor.
After that we sorted out items of rubbish, putting each type of rubbish into a different container.
Then we put each box on some scales and wrote down the number of rubbish items the weight of the rubbish.
