Your chance to sail

Leeuwin Ocean Adventure has a new voyage named Future Connect, which will invite 20 students who were raised in Western Australia (established Western Australians) and 20 students from a CaLD or refugee background who now call WA home (new Western Australians) onboard.

The 16 to 25-year-olds and an experienced crew will sail out of Fremantle to spend seven days at sea on WA’s own tall ship, STS Leeuwin II. All youth will learn together and from one another while creating friendships, building self-awareness and an understanding of other cultures and different ways of looking at themselves and others – and of course creating memories for a lifetime.

There are some scholarships available and participants are also encouraged to fundraise.

The voyage will take place from 12-18 March 2019.

Expressions of interest close on Tuesday 31 July. If you are keen to take this amazing opportunity your first move should be to see Karen Hogg from Fremantle Multicultural Centre in her office between the cafeteria and the gym at North Lake Senior Campus.
