North Lake is set up as a practical and flexible learning environment. We have a great mix of facilities, study zones and places to just hang out.
Our Library is an inviting and colourful learning centre that has a computing lab, open work areas, study booths and meeting rooms. The high ceiling allows natural light to flood the main area, creating a warm and relaxing feeling. There are printers and photocopiers available for student use. The Library also houses our Prayer Room, which is used by both students and staff alike.
The Cafeteria is another popular place for students to meet and relax. A good selection of food is available to purchase throughout the day. The space ajoins a covered area that can accommodate display or food stalls for our special event days. The outdoor area spills out to a beautiful lawned area – great for sunny days! Free WiFi is available in both these locations, and our friendly staff are focused on providing you with great service.
We also have great sporting amenities. A half-size Olympic swimming pool, full-size gymnasium, tennis, netball and basketball courts are also available. The grassed area surrounding the campus plain field is a popular place for volleyball and soccer matches. During the year, our students are actively involved in soccer and Australian Rules Football competitions.
The campus is surrounded by natural bushland and is home to many Australian native animals and birds. The tranquil setting provides students with a peaceful learning environment to study, play sport or to simply relax between classes.
Add to this, other facilities like our Auditorium, Radio Station and Autoshop and you get the picture, we offer a lot!
Support whenever you need it
School is more than study. Sometimes things pop-up that present challenges – normally at the time you least expect or need it. Our Student Services Team is here to help.
Need to talk to someone in confidence? Need to bounce ideas off a friendly listener? Or maybe you need study advice, help to design a study program or careers advice? Our team cares. The Student Services Team coordinates the pastoral services right across the campus. The team has a manager, a psychologist, two year coordinators, an enrolment officer, a multicultural support officer, a nurse and a Youthcare chaplain. Our Youthcare chaplain provides social, emotional and spiritual support to the school community. They are a listening ear and a caring presence in the school, available for all students, staff and families.
The Student Services team arrange events on campus, guest speakers, and work with your teachers to monitor your attendance, progress and well-being. The team is located in the Library. Pop in and say hello. They’d be happy to meet you.
