The 2021 Year 12s – the first to have to worked through two Covid-19 impacted years of study – were farewelled at the valedictory ceremony on Friday 22 October.
In their alumni speech former North Lake students Ayesha and Fareeha Khan urged the Year 12s to become fully involved in whatever it is they do next. The sisters are not only enjoying their studies at UWA but have joined and even started student groups.
Speaking on behalf of the student group, Abi Healing reminded us of the courage the students have shown. For some it has been the courage to learn a new language and for all it has been the courage to start at a new school and persevere. Principal Gary Anderson congratulated the students on the incredibly positive influence they have made over two difficult years.
