This year’s IEC Achievement Ceremony was an inspiring event.
Project-based learning has been important in the IEC and Kyla Aquino’s powerful presentation was an example of the work students have done. In conclusion Kyla left us with this thought: “There is hope in humanity.”
Guest speaker Hellen Mouawad (pictured above with MCs Milad & Meneya) completed Year 12 at North Lake in 2020 after spending time in the IEC. She told of the importance of perseverance as she takes the early steps towards a childhood goal of working in the medical field.
There was music, dance, awards and lots of opportunities to reflect upon the challenges and achievements of 2021.
Oh, and we almost forgot to mention the bank robbery! Luckily it ended with a nice cup of tea.
