COVID update

As you can appreciate, North Lake Senior Campus is one of an increasing number of schools experiencing positive cases of COVID-19. The exact number of cases is growing in line with the growth of cases in the community. At this point we are managing all notified cases in accordance with the directions and guidelines from the Department of Education and Health Department of WA.

As indicated in my recent communications, staff and students are practicing the hygiene guidelines of mask wearing and sanitising. Unless these guidelines are breached, students on-site are not likely to be identified as a close contact of any positive case.

If a breach of guidelines is detected involving an identified positive case, the Campus will notify any affected student, their parents/carers, immediately so that testing and any required isolation can be actioned.

At this point we have no evidence to suggest that any positive COVID-19 case has been contracted on Campus and the need to contact any affected student as a close contact here, has not been required.

I hope this adds further clarification.
