Knitting for hope

Students in the IEC knitting club will use their developing skills to help a very worthy cause. Val’s club has formed a Uthando Project group and are working on making dolls.

The dolls will be sent to children in Kwazulu Natal a South African community that has been terribly affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The gift of dolls is a recognition of the importance of play in the development of children.

The class has been enhanced by Christine’s doll-making  expertise.
