Physics extension for Fareeha

Year 12 student Fareeha has been selected to join an online Year 12 Physics extension course run by the Physics Department of UWA.

In the application process students were required to solve five physics problems. Selection was be based on the quality of the problem solutions along with Year 11 school reports, predicted ATAR scores and the reason students gave for wishing to participate.

The course will include tutorials on gravity and motion; electromagnetism; quantum theory and special relativity. It will include 10 weekly sessions. Students will also be exposed to cutting-edge research activities in the Physics Department of UWA.

Fareeha, who hopes to study medicine at university, is sure the course will be a big help to her Year 12 studies.
