To celebrate harmony week, you may be interested to attend the Catalyst for Change film screening. A former North Lake student, Neby, is one of the eight young people who were selected to interview WA politicians and leaders for this short film.
This event will also feature the launch of the Catalyst Youth Summit 2017 report. Neby and another North Lake student, Patrick Issa Jerome, attended the Summit as delegates. The report will feature issues faced by young migrants to WA, as well as potential ways to resolve them as identified by the delegates.
There will also be a screening of the new feature film, Cast of the Storm, the story of how a theatre group was used to engage young people from refugee backgrounds and to facilitate their stories.
The screening will take place at Norman Dufty Lecture Theatre, Curtin University, Thursday 15 March starting at 6pm. It is FREE for students.
