This is what matters

The Whitlam Institute lies within the Western Sydney University. It is a public policy institute inspired by the life and work of Gough Whitlam who was prime minister of Australia from 1972 to 1975.

One of the Whitlam Institute’s major projects is What Matters? a writing competition encouraging young writers to develop a point of view on where we are heading as a society.

North Lake Senior Campus Year 11 Fareeha was one of 4,400 students from around Australia to submit a piece for What Matters? Her entry Read. Learn. Understand was shortlisted for the major prize.
