IEC 3-D have been learning about acids and bases with student teacher Camlin from Murdoch University.
Their experiment involved grinding up red cabbage in a mortar and pestle and using the juice as an indicator. An indicator can be used to determine whether a solution is acidic or basic as the indicator will change colour when added to the solution.
The IEC students tested a range of substances and created a very colourful display!
