We love it when past students visit the campus. Denver and Venus, who both graduated in 2018, dropped in recently and their stories are particularly interesting.
Denver was North Lake’s top VET student in 2018 and, among other things, gained a Cert lll in Aviation (Support Services and Operations). Now based in Sydney, he recently gained a Commercial Pilot’s Licence is about to finish a Bachelor degree in Aviation. Denver’s next move will be into the ADF where he will work as a drone pilot and begin work on his Masters degree.
Venus won the ADF Long Tan Leadership Award at the 2018 North Lake Valedictory as well as the General Career and Enterprise course prize. She recently gained a Bachelor of International Hospitality Management degree at ECU and will soon open a business in the Armadale area.
Those with a sharp eye will notice something about the academic journeys undertaken by Denver and Venus. Both took the VET pathway in Year 11 and 12 at North Lake and both have completed university degrees.
