Did you say 35km? That’s a long walk

The North Lake Science Department is getting ready for The Bloody Long Walk on Sunday 13 August

If fact it’s The Bloody Long Walk to help Australians living with mitochondrial disease (mito). Mito robs the body’s cells of energy, causing multiple organ dysfunction or failure. It can affect anyone at any age.

The NLSD & F (North Lake Science Department & Family/Friends) team is going to take on this bloody big task and you can help by joining the team or donating to a good cause.

If you would like to support the team, please follow the link below. If you would rather give money instead of using the link please see Gemma or Belinda and they will organise your donation. Any donations much appreciated. And, of course, you could also join as a walker.

It’s happening on Sunday 13 August.

“We know we’ll cross the finish line exhausted and blistered, but that’s nothing compared to what people with mitochondrial disease (mito) go through every day of their lives,” Gemma said.
