Brodie’s Story

North Lake offered a professional development opportunity for teachers and technicians with a difference during term one. The course on Arduino was run by Year 12 student Brodie.

According to its website Arduino is “…an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. It’s intended for anyone making interactive projects.”

Brodie’s students were impressed…

“One of the best PDs I have been too! It was fantastic and has opened a whole new world of options for teaching.” (Nick SFSHS)

“Learning from Brodie’s huge expertise was a very positive experience. He’s a good teacher.” (Tracey, NLSC)

“It was very informative and taught us some valuable stuff,” (Jenni & Sue, lab technicians NLSC)

The courses will continue.

Arduino will have application on campus in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
