The IEC achievement ceremony is always a highlight of the North Lake calendar. We celebrate the shared achievement of a group of students who have learned English together. Some are moving on. Most, we’re happy to say, will be continuing on to complete Year 11 and 12 at North Lake before they take on the world.
MCs Jihan and Imran were in control of the event that included musical performances by Sky; Patrick, Nicole and Liezel; and the combined classes.
Our guest speaker was David, a former IEC and Year 11 and 12 student at North Lake, who urged us all to make the most of our opportunities. The year was neatly summed up in the student speeches by Gabriel, Niloofar and Marah. The title of this story comes from Marah.
The event concluded with a slideshow prepared by Day, Pa, Mansoure and Marah followed by afternoon tea. Congratulations to all students with a special mention to the prize winners…
